This product by Syba is ideally suited for cooling mini laptop computers. It is a lightweight and inexpensive cooling pad.

Product Description
This is one of the silent cooling pads, which has low noise index. Since it contains a 7-inch Big Fan, the RPM (revolutions per minute) of the fan is greatly reduced. This helps to reduce the noise of the fan to almost zero level. It is fitted with a pleasant Blue LED light which gives an aesthetic glow to the component. The speed of the fan automatically adjusts itself to the temperature of the mini laptop.

Specifications
It measures 12x2x12.5 inches and weighs around 1.9 pounds. The acoustic sound level is quite low at 20-24 db, making it arguably the best laptop cooling pad. It is easy to use and is powered by a USB port. It is made of polystyrene and requires DC 5V and 0.40A current to function smoothly. The power consumed is 2W and the RPM speed is only 750 revolutions per minute. It can work for about 10000 hours without giving problems.

The Good
It gives good value for the money paid. The height of the pad can be adjusted to suit individual users. The plastic material is of very good quality. The four legs provided are quite firm and it sits steadily without sliding. The USB cord is nice and long enough. It has a good slant from the back so that typing is easy. The fan is quiet with excellent airflow. The cost as well is quite low. The blades too do not collect much dust as it has only one large fan. The blades are huge and are easy to clean.

The Bad
The fan blade at the bottom is wholly open and exposed which is not very safe. It can only be used when the laptop is placed on a table or a hard board and this defeats the very purpose of a laptop. It cannot be placed on the lap. There is no on/off switch on the USB cord so it has to be plugged in and out every time one wants to use it. Also the USB power is very limited. Sometimes the USB cable comes in contact with the fan as the fans do not have an enclosure.

Bottom Line
It is a very decent cooling pad offered for a decent price. It’s ideal for desk use. One can use the laptop for an extended period without worrying about overheating.
